Below are a couple of troubleshooting steps if you are having trouble with our Embedded Video Carousel app:

 

I can’t re-install the app. I keep getting an error.

Not a problem! Make sure the old version of the app is deleted from the recycling bin/second stage recycling bin and the issue should go away. 

 

How do I change the look and feel of the app?

Our app uses the default SharePoint styles. Modifying the SharePoint theme or customizing the look-and-feel of your SharePoint portal should also style our app.

 

How do I showcase wmv video files?

App supports only HTML 5 supported videos. MP4, Ogg, Ogv, Webm

 

Where can I upload my videos?

Videos can uploaded in same sharepoint site hosting app or can be hosted externally. Incase if videos are hosted in same SharePoint site, provide relative url in video Id column field and if hosted externally then provide full url.

 

Vimeo and YouTube videos are not playing?

Only provide ID of videos and not full url in Video ID field, e.g. 0Bmhjf0rKe8, 134281027

 

How do I order the videos in the list?

It’s easy! Just change the playing order within the apps. To do this:

 

• Click the Embedded Video Carousel link at the top of the page (or go to Site Contents > Embedded Video Carousel)

• In the Carousel Videos list change the Playing Order numbers (0-2) to display how you would like them to display. 0 is at the top of the list and 2 is at the bottom.

 

How do I use the Embedded Video Carousel app on a public site?

Unfortunately the app does not work on public sites at this time as anonymous access to SharePoint resources (like the lists that are storing the video information) aren’t currently supported in SharePoint apps.
